Powerboat Level 2

In this course you will get the knowledge and skills to handle a powerboat with an outboard engine. Special attention is given to close quarters low speed manoeuvring and man overboard recovery. A short theoretical session followed by a day trip will give you the taste of planning speed.

Holders of Powerboat Level 2 certificate can apply for the International Certificate of Competence which is proof of your qualification and training accepted by most EU States.

Course content

Launching and recovery, boat handling, securing to a buoy, anchoring, leaving and coming alongside, man overboard, basic navigation and passage planning

Ability after the course

Confident power-boater in the right conditions, aware of own limitations and those of craft

 

 

 

Experience Powerboat

Get first hand experience on a Technohull RIB and feel the power and hull design at their best. Our co-operation with the charter department of Technohull gives you the opportunity to get trained on a boat that many have dreamed of but a few actually step on.

Personal Watercraft proficiency course

These machines can be extremely fun if you know how to handle them. High speed turning and handling will make you a proficient rider, while slow speed handling, man overboard recovery and safety knowledge will make you confident for your future rides.

Launching, handling and recovery skills, passage planning and decision making, high and low speed riding skills, essential safety information, collision avoidance and orientation at sea

Self-sufficient in good conditions, aware of limitations of self and craft
