The RYA Day Skipper Shorebased Theory Online course is an ideal starting point for those without any navigation experience but also for those who have been sailing for years but have not had any formal training, and aims to provide basic navigation knowledge (motor and sail), which is required for our practical sailing and motor cruising courses.

This highly interactive course ensures effective consolidation of the syllabus and a steep learning curve through animated graphics and audio narration, while the fact that it takes place online means that students can complete it whenever they are and at their own pace, without any classroom pressure.
