Felt like a mix between a holiday and a training program.. what a great way to get one's license, by spending a week on a sailing boat hopping between Greek islands alongside other fun people and a great instructor. We spent a week doing our RYA Day Skipper course with Seven Seas Sailing, and it was the best way to see the Greek islands. For a long time, we avoided starting this journey because we were concerned that the process would be complicated and disappointing. In addition, the demands of everyday life and our busy schedules kept pushing the course—and therefore the dream itself—further away. Then, in a spontaneous decision, we boarded a plane to Greece and embarked on this adventure, only to discover that the process was not challenging in the way we feared, but rather an enjoyable and rewarding experience. We have successfully completed the first stage (Open Boat), which was the initial goal we set for ourselves, and we have no doubt that we will continue to the next stage and pursue our Skipper certification.
