The Christie Jetcraft P10 is our standard tuition vessel for motor cruising courses.

Equipped with twin inboard diesel engines with fixed shafts, she offers students the ideal platform to become fully familiar with the particular handling characteristics of shaft-driven motor yachts — including low-speed manoeuvring, prop walk, use of differential thrust, and close-quarters control.

Developing confidence and competence in handling twin fixed-shaft engines is one of the primary goals of the RYA Motor Cruising Scheme, and training on the P10 ensures candidates gain practical, hands-on experience in real operating conditions.

The vessel’s layout and stability make her particularly well suited to structured training, allowing students to focus on boat handling, passage planning, and seamanship skills in a professional yet supportive environment.
